My next race: a 20k

This is what I am running Saturday, the Third Tour Des Fleurs 20k race at the Dallas Arboretum round White Rock Lake. My goals: Have fun and finish strong.


Time goals: 1:42 (OK)

1:40 or better (Esctatic and proud)

1:37 or better (Woooohoooooo!)

Kevin, I've had this on my calendar for a while now, but for the 10K.

For some reason, I've been on the fence about actually doing it. I don't know if it is because it will be my first 10K, so I am a little nervous...or perhaps because it's in Dallas, with a 7:30 AM start, and like you, I'd be heading over from Fort Worth...

At any rate, I plan on making a decision in the next couple of hours, so that I have time to get over to Luke's and register.

Good luck Kevin. I have a much harder task tomorrow. I have to simultaneously attend to my wife on our 11th anniversary, and also tune into a day full of college football.

All right, I headed over to Luke's and registered for the 10K--I got one of their last bibs.

Are you riding over on the Luke's shuttle? That sounds like a very useful benefit of the Luke's training program.

I'll keep an eye out for you.
