Dear Chase Credit Cards

Dear Chase.com

I have never missed a payment. I have always paid more than the minimum. But in the mail today, I get a letter from your company saying you are closing my account because my total available credit on my credit cards is too low, and because I have a past due on one or more of my other credit accounts.

Hello!!!! I have not had a job since March, so the speed at which I am paying down my balances has slowed somewhat. Even without a job, I have continued to pay more than the minimum. Not just on chase.com, but on my other credit accounts.

And the past due? It is a medical bill for my son that I thought my insurance was going to pay.

And its not like I am using credit right now. I am not. But symbolically, this move stinks.

Way to kick a guy when he is down.

I just tweeted about B of A and their punitive charges on my account, in hopes that someone at B of A will take notice and do something to help me... You should tweet off about this too!

P.S. Please don't be down!

I am in your same situation. I called all of my creditors, and they have loan re-payment programs. Chase put me on one for the next several payments, at a very low amount, at 5%.

You might call and ask to speak with their Loan Repayment program.

Seriously. If your credit is already poor, this will at least help you pay the bill. Good luck. I did the same with B of A and others.

Credit cards are unrreal and unfair. Credit cards, ins companies, doctors, hospital billing companies...the list goes on.
Better time soon, Kevin - for you and me too!
