2009 White Rock Marathon Result: A PR

Time: 3:36:39
Pace: 8:14 (My garmin said the course was 26.99 miles with a pace of 8:01)
Overall place: 562 out of 3909

First half: 1:42:57
Second half: 1:53:42

So many firsts. First time I didn't take more than 2 hours to finish the second half. First time I didn't have run any miles 10 minutes or slower. And, of course, a 17-minute PR to go with the shiny medal.

Yeah, there were still cramps. I got them real bad from 12 to 22, but I fought through them and began to feel better around Mile 23 and ripped off a 7:45 for the last mile.

Of course, I'll blog more about this when I get back to Austin.

Damn - cramps beginning from mile 12? I'm surprised you ripped off the time you did when you take that into account...wow.

Congrats on the huge PR Kevin - can't wait to hear all about it!
